THIS WHY SO MANY KIDS ARE BEING HURT!For most of us, our time and energy is devoted to the creation of wealth so we can have the necessities of life and hopefully a few of the luxuries. Home safety is way down on the list of things we think about. This explains in many ways why so many kids are being hurt. Safety is word we use without much thought. We will tell the kids to be safe when they are going out to play, but have we ever really taught them anything about safety? In most homes the answer is no! As life unfolds, tiny segments of time are devoted to safety training. Safety training may occur school, summer camp, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or at home. Safety may be part of list of things to do; it is usually near the bottom of the list. Unfortunately, the day a serious accident occurs, a family searches for answers. How did this happen? Why? Where did we go wrong? The truth is, however painful, most of the time, the accident could have been prevented. When a child is seriously injured the impact on lives cannot be measured. Safety training just takes a little time and just a little extra caution around the house will show a huge improvement across our nation and across the world. These “little guys and girls” deserve a chance to grow up with health bodies. Let’s don’t let ignorance continue to inflict millions of accidents on children every year. We can’t stop all the accidents but we can stop most of them. We have to get smart and we need to raise our children so they will be Safety-Smart-Kids©!

The parents are a product of our culture, which has huge deficiencies in dealing with safety. If most of the accidents are preventable, then we, the grownups of this world, are all to blame. The safety problem is the result of choices we make. There are some wonderful organizations working on safety issues, but accidents at home for children just don't get the exposure they deserve. A change is due and it will come. The media doesn't create a "clear Picture" of the problem for the public. Until they do the "majority" will continue to operate with little awareness of the problem.
A CHILD AT HOME ALONE HAS ADDDITIONAL RISKS!What if we made it a priority to be home with our kids? The level of protection goes up because a parent is home with them. Most of us have a job and can’t be home with the children. Perhaps there is an alternative. The world today is the land of opportunity and people of every conceivable description are become financially independent. The opportunity is there, but it is only available for those who want it and are willing to work hard. The opportunities are here; take a look at this one. HER MOM MAKES MONEY AT HOME!Take moment to think!The reality is, safety, should be near the top. Consider this that a safety check usually can be done in a brief period of time. It is a matter of taking a moment to think about what is about to take place and find out if there are there any risks that need to be looked at? Simple! Straight forward, yet the process change the potential for a safe event.There is no prize, fireworks, nor parade that will follow your safety program at home! Your efforts are direct reflection of your love for your child and love is an act of giving with no anticipation of return. Remember also that teaching safety is only an attempt to prevent harm coming to your child. We can only do our best to provide a safe world for children – sometimes things will happen in spite of our best effort. We must fight the battle for our children deserve the chance for a safe life.
